Notes on the Dual Nature of 5f Electrons

Tomasz Durakiewicz, John J. Joyce, John M. Wills and Cristian D. Batista

The dual nature of 5f electrons is illustrated by showing examples of itinerant and localized features in the electronic structure. Systems where dual configuration was well documented are also mentioned. A link between electronic structure and ground state properties is briefly discussed.
