Surface Impedance Studies of Heavy Fermion Superconductors, PrOs4Sb12 and UBe13

We report the results of RF surface impedance measurements of heavy-fermion superconductors, PrOs4Sb12 and UBe13. For highly conductive material such as heavy-fermion superconductors, the RF impedance measurements at lowtemperatures provide surface impedance Zs = Rs + iXs of the sample. The field dependence of Zs(H) in PrOs4Sb12 and UBe13 shows anomalies at 0.4–0.6 Hc2, indicating the anomalous vortex pinning. We report measurements of the H–T phase diagram of PrOs4Sb12 and UBe13 from the field dependence of Zs(H).
