UIr is a ferromagnet with the Curie temperature TC1 = 46 K and it has the monoclinic PbBi-type structure (space group P21) without inversion symmetry. Superconductivity was observed in a narrow pressure region around PC3 ≃2.6 GPa. We have observed the de Haas–van Alphen (dHvA) oscillation under pressure. The Fermi surface properties are found to be roughly unchanged in the pressure region from ambient pressure to 1.6 GPa, but no dHvA oscillations were observed above 1.7 GPa. This is closely related to the complicated magnetic phases with a ferromagnetic component from 1.7 GPa to a critical pressure of 2.6 GPa where the magnetic ordering temperature becomes zero.
